Adapters based on an Atheros chipset stand the best chance of working with Linux in my experience. I am leaning towards Ubuntu or mint. Network is down root ambucsbox: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.

For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. I recently set this up for one mkcro my older desktops.
